Smoothies have been around for years and they are a great way to balance a healthy diet. This "Green Movement" is a great way to increase your energy, and it also decreases your sweet cravings. It helps your skin glow and it also helps your hair and nails grow!
So whats the basic green smoothie recipe? Its simple! Chose your favorite fruits, throw in some greens and VOILA! Below is a simple one that I use often
- 3 medium strawberries - chopped
- 1/2 cup of frozen mangos
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup of pinapple juice
- few pieces of ice
- Handful of spinach

Now to make it a meal you can simply add some protein powder ( or enjoy it with an egg or some meat such as bacon). And of course you can add whatever you want to make your smoothie to your liking. Recently I've tried adding just a teaspoon of cottage cheese and a 1/2 cup of greek yogurt (compliments of Abstaining 4 Jesus). One other thing I use on a regular basis is a supplement powder. It helps to support the four foundations of health: nutrition, digestion, immunity and circulation.
